On August 1, 2019 history will be made in London: the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series is hosting the largest buy-in poker tournament ever run!
This tournament, called 'Triton Million', features a £1 million buy-in - equivalent to more than 1.25 million US Dollars!
Note that the current record for the largest buy-in poker tournament ever held is held by the 'Big One for One Drop' - a €1 million buy-in poker tournament.
The Triton Million is going to take place at the 5-star London Hilton on Park Lane from Aug. 1-3. Note that, just like 'Big one for one drop', this tournament also offers 'a helping hand for charity': all entrants have to donate £50,000 to the Triton Million Helping Hand for Charity cause in addition to the l £1 million buy-in.
This is an invitation-only tournament, as Triton Poker has invited businessmen and women from around the world to participate. Each of these invitees can nominate a guest - usually, one of the top poker players in the world. In other words, this tournament will feature both recreational and professional poker players, all willing to pay the enormous buy-in to participate!
Recreational players who have already been invited are, among others, Paul Phua, Richard Yong, Bobby Baldwin, Cary Katz, and Rob Yong.
The professional poker players who have confirmed their participation are: Bryn Kenney, Jason Koon, Rui Cao, David Peters, Dan Cates, Tom Dwan, Mikita Badziakouski, Timofey Kuznetsov, Sam Trickett and Stephen Chidwick.
